The Energy Sectorial Plan 2007-2012, drafted on the basis of the Development National Plan 2007-2012, establishes the engagements, strategies and action lines of Mexico’s Federal Government in the field of energy. The Programme seeks comprehensive and sustainable development all the time.

Among other measures, the Mexican government has established for the year 2030 that wind-origin electric power generation should reach 6% of the production. The TECH4CDM works regarding wind energy will focus on the technological barriers of the wind energy massive integration into the national grid.

Mexico is also a pioneering country in the applications of polygeneration. The project will focus on the overcoming of the technological barriers so as to contribute to a greater expansion of these technologies

The partner of the Project in Mexico is the National Commission for Energy Efficiency (CONUEE).
