The Spanish Office for Climate Change, OECC, was created by the government in 2001 with a view to enhancing responses to the crucial problem of climate change. It is ascribed to Spain’s Ministry of Environment, Marine and Rural Affairs through the State Secretariat for Climate Change, which it depends structurally on.
The OECC’s main objective is solely to work to fight climate change, both domestic and international, leading its actions to pinpointing needs and to the promotion of responses within all the areas affected by climate change.
